The Afon Camddwr flows into Llyn Brianne reservoir about four hundred metres to the north of here (to the right). Water level in the reservoir has been low for many months, and appears to be two metres or so down in this image.

A ruined settlement, Rhytalog, is off to the left by the tree. Nant Rhytalog joins the reservoir here, and an old mine is marked on some maps to the right of the stream.
