Tomb of Alexander Douglas
Tomb of Alexander Douglas
The panel on the left of this elaborate tomb commemorates Alexander Douglas, Bishop of Moray and minister of Elgin, who died in 1623 and is apparently buried not here, but in St Giles Kirk in the town. The other panels are so eroded as to be pretty much illegible, but other records say that Douglas' wife Mary Innes and their son Alexander Innes Douglas are also commemorated.
