Castle Park
Castle Park
The war came to Bristol on 24 November 1940, the night of the Bristol Blitz. The commercial heart of the city was destroyed. Afterwards the shopping centre moved to Broadmead and this area, with the ruined church of St Mary le Port seen here, was left as a park.
