NH9822 : The River Spey

near to Skye of Curr, Highland, Great Britain

The River Spey
The River Spey
Seen from a passing Strathspey Railway train. In the foreground is farmland on the flood plain of the Spey. Small burns can be seen joining the river from either side on the left of the photo and, hidden by the stand of trees beyond the burn on the far bank, is the River Nethy that joins the Spey just above Broomhill. Rothiemoon is just visible through the trees on the right of the photo. In the distance are the Hills of Cromdale and the Cairngorms.
