The King and Queen public house on the corner of Park Road and High Street, Caterham-on-the-Hill opened in 1845 but they have not fallen behind the times. Indeed their recently repainted sign is set in a likely future - it shows Prince William and Kate Middleton! See TQ3355 : A bit premature - general view. I wonder what the Queen and Prince Charles think about that. Difficult to make out the sign on TQ3355 : Caterham: The 'King and Queen' dated 2010 April 21 or TQ3355 : The King & Queen, Caterham-on-the-Hill, Surrey dated 2010 April 1 but it is now different. By 2011 June 4 they had reverted to the old sign so perhaps this was just a joke.
