Pond in Folkestone Gardens
Pond in Folkestone Gardens
The pond is towards the west end of Folkestone Gardens, adjacent to Trundleys Road. This relatively clear view has only been possible since a few large trees were felled in 2010; before that it was surrounded by trees.
Folkestone Gardens, Deptford
A small park off Trundleys Road in Deptford, immediately south of the London Bridge - Lewisham railway line, on the site of several streets of houses destroyed by a V2 rocket on 7 March 1945.

The park is about 400m long east-west, and no more than 100m wide. At the west end there is a duck pond, at the east end a children's playground and skateboard park, and in between a grassed area. Several of the paths in the park are part of the London Cycle Network.
