The summit of Crug Mawr offers great views of the surrounding mountains, here the northern slopes of the Sugar Loaf, or Pen y Fal, can be admired, and beyond that the vale of the River Usk to the left of the peak, and the skyline that signifies the start of the South Wales Valleys to the right, with the Blorenge and the mountains above Blaenavon.
