Cliffs below Cockpit Head, Mupe Bay
Bindon Hill is a chalk ridge that stretches from Lulworth Cove in the west to this point where it forms a cliff slowly falling into the sea at the northern extreme of Mupe Bay. It is marked as "Cockpit Head" on the MoD information boards alongside the range walks. The cliff fall depicted in the centre of the photo is fairly recent, exposing fresh white chalk and causing the coastal footpath above to be rerouted a little further inland.
