The Alternative Route

This is the 'Alternative route. It is poorly signposted from its west end, beside the access road to the Tomnaverie Stone Circle car park, and evidently not much used, judging by the state of the vegetation. I also wonder what the point of the gate is, since the other end is ungated, and as for the gate closing device, NJ4903 : It doesn't work!.
