Water channels at Combe Down
Water channels at Combe Down
The stream is the early stage of the River Lyd, which rises about a kilometre further along. It is culverted here, with the line of the former Rattlebrook Peat Railway going over the top. This is now a well graded path towards the interior of Dartmoor and fortunately easy to follow in the mist.
