SX5687 : Abandoned works at Rattlebrook

3 km from Shortacombe, Devon, Great Britain

Abandoned works at Rattlebrook
Abandoned works at Rattlebrook
This area was once a hive of peat cutting activity. I believe these are the remains of the former peat drying house at the head of the Rattlebrook valley. The building is on the grid line, and the former railway embankment can be seen heading westward in the next square.
