Rather parched pasture, seen through the gateway on the left of SS9520 : Lane across the Exe flood plain. The lower cottage left of centre is across the River Batherm (which joins the Exe off to the right) by the A396. Above it, on the slopes of Bowbier Hill, is Woodrow. The wooded hills rise higher to the right, where Cove Cleave overlooks an incised meander of the Exe.
