SJ8955 : The "Druids' Grove"

taken 7 years ago, near to Brown Edge, Staffordshire, Great Britain

The "Druids' Grove"
The "Druids' Grove"
Gawton's Well is surrounded by a grove of Yew trees, the well is reputed to be a healing well and presumably calling the grove a Druids' Grove adds to the mysticism. The well itself is located at the top of the line of stones to the right. Mystic or not, this is a very peaceful place and ideal just to sit and listen to the birds and water running from the well.
