Linhay Hill Limestone Quarry - Ashburton
Linhay Hill Limestone Quarry - Ashburton
The photo shows the buildings and machinery where the limestone is crushed and graded before it is taken from the quarry for use in the building industry.

In the far distance, on the skyline to the left of the photo, can be seen a conical shaped hill (311m/1020feet). It is noticeably steeper on its righthand side as viewed in this photo. This is Brent Hill and measured in a direct line, it is about 11km (just over 7 miles) away from the photographer's location. Distances, as well as heights, can be deceptive in photos.
