SK3390 : Hillsborough from Rawson Spring

taken 13 years ago, near to Parson Cross, Sheffield, England

Hillsborough from Rawson Spring.
Hillsborough from Rawson Spring.
Looking out over the railway towards the Sheffield Wednesday Ground. Submitted to the BBC Domesday Reloaded project. LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) . The name Rawson Spring has nothing to do with a water source, but refers to the ancient practice of coppicing woods early in the year. For another BBC Domesday Reloaded project image see SK3488 : Sheffield from Parkwood Springs.
