Tarbat Ness that is a good picture as when we went there you could not see the rocks for the rain and the sea was busy bashing the beach apart, I also note there is a marsh south, we bypassed, as the place was awash Old Red Sandstone soils eroding in mid field on crest convex slopes, which proved it does it, rills, but you could not see to the sides and there is plenty there for another visit. Good site Tarbat, down by the ramp and over looking the lighthouse cliff, need to be soaked and walking boots, but I noted the lovely calm blue also posted, it was pounding rocks for us as off Edinburgh and yet clear at Puffin Island Anglesey, of Puffins that is, so I have some equal useful of the beach Geology there instead, I love rain but it messes with your lenses on Tryfan edge and the wind means you cannot point the right way and stand still, happens a lot at Port's Head south, which is why the Curlew are so fuzzy between the rough rill mud and the smooth frequent tidal new silts.
