Cardiff bay barrage
Cardiff bay barrage
The three bascule bridges across the three lock channels can be seen at the centre. The water in the foreground is the waiting area on the tidal side of the barrage, which is enclosed and protected from the waves by two massive breakwaters.
Although not 'ancient and historic' yet, the barrage is registered in the Coflein[1] database LinkExternal link .
