Mill Wood
Mill Wood
Mill Wood is one of the few ancient woodlands in Merseyside which dates back to before 13th Century. Originally it would have formed part of the larger Royal hunting forest of Hale Wood which supplied the oak trees for the building of ships at Hale Bank. This path, one of many, runs along Ram's Brook which marks the border of the woodland which has recently received funding to develop the wood as a local nature reserve.
