NT6084 : Auldhame Castle

taken 13 years ago, near to Auldhame, East Lothian, Scotland

Auldhame Castle
Auldhame Castle
Overgrown remain of a decorated lintel over a former door of Auldhame Castle. The castle is very difficult to find in summer, because it is almost completely overgrown with ivy and other plants. But it is an absolutely enchanted place. Do not visit it with sandales or skirt, and it would be good to wear socks because of the nettles and blackberries.
