Drayton House: north-east wing
Drayton House: north-east wing
This part of the house was built for Lord Mordaunt of Turvey in 1584. "The new work had mullioned and transomed windows of no great regularity. The chimney shafts are very tall and pillar-shaped," wrote Nikolaus Pevsner in 1961. This is a zoom shot from the approach to the house, the road from Lowick.
