Part of the fun fete in the afternoon was an opportunity to brush up on your circus skills including using a unicycle, walking on stilts and seen here an old childhood game I remember before technology took over, the diabolo originally invented by the Chinese for catching birds.

Wigtown and District Community Festival 2011

The annual community festival in 2011 ran from Saturday 9th July until Sunday 17th July. It included something for everyone:- fancy dress competition, chocolate making, fun fete, concert, pool tournament, folk music, pairs bowling, 10K fun run, pet show, open golf tournament, line dancing, car treasure hunt and a raft race. The event was sponsored by many of the local businesses and shops and visiting tourists had the opportunity to experience some of the local culture in Wigtownshire.
