The Cottage (R of photo) was originally the Newlands farm labourer's cottage. The House (L of photo was added in 1938 or 39 by William Smith, father of Ester Smith, who lived here until 2009. She farmed Snapdown, and died in Oct 2009, aged 101. Photo Link
