NT4656 : Dere Street
near to Gilston, Scottish Borders, Great Britain

Dere Street
Dere Street - a Roman Road built by the first Roman governor of Britain, Julius Agricola - and means the road to Deira or Yorkshire.
Fairly difficult to make out in this photograph, but quite easy to pick out the line on the ground hereabouts. Nearby the windfarm at Dun Law was making its whooshing presence heard.
