Kew: The Royal Botanic Gardens: The Temperate House
This is the view of the Temperate House from the Rhizotron and Xstrata Treetop Walkway. Construction of the Temperate House commenced in 1860 to the designs of Decimus Burton, but financial constraints meant that it was not finally completed until 1899. The glasshouse is a Grade I Listed Building and is about 628 feet or approximately 191 metres long.
