The Elms, Twyford Church of England High School, Acton
"The Elms" is a house built in 1735 for Sir Joseph Ayloffe, Keeper of the Record Office. It remained a private house until 1964, when it became a school. The last owners were the Farnell family, who built a teddy bear factory next to the house. The house is now the administrative building of Twyford Church of England High School, which was established in 1980. Photo taken during a London Open House day - note visitors on the roof.
