L9080 : Descending Croagh Patrick

3 km from Murrisk, Ireland

Descending Croagh Patrick
Descending Croagh Patrick
The badly eroded path is treacherous, and the descent is worse than the ascent. Many pilgrims climb the mountain barefoot. Rather them than me. There are annually more than 50 cases of serious injury on this stretch of the mountain.
