Looking downstream
Looking down the stream and Himalayan Walk from the SJ9059 : Twin Bridges that carry the walk over a bend in the stream. The Himalayan Walk was designed in the 19th century by James Bateman, a horticulturist and industrialist who owned Biddulph Grange. Although now removed, the hillsides were planted with Rhododendrons and the stream was designed to look like a tumbling mountain stream with man-made weirs that look like waterfalls.
