Abandoned Weir on the River Ashop
Abandoned Weir on the River Ashop
Built in the 1920s, before Ladybower Reservoir was constructed, this weir was designed to divert a flow of water to the Derwent reservoir by a tunnel under Lockerbrook Farm.

More recently it has been considered as a potential micro hydro electric site.
