The Pilotage Building and Canning Pierhead
The Pilotage Building and Canning Pierhead
The riverside walk in front of the Pilotage Building, with Tate Liverpool visible on the right. The Pilotage Building was erected in 1883 close to the entrance to Canning Dock. It may have been designed by G. F. Lyster, the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board engineer, and it is currently undergoing renovation.
