The River Usk below Llanfoist Bridge near Abergavenny

A deep pool exists below the bridge, often a popular swimming venue on a hot summer day and for the braver, or more foolhardy, a pool into which to jump from the bridge parapet above. I haven't see that occur here for years but in my youth it was common.

The pub with the riverside location is the Bridge Inn. The only pub in the area with a riverside beer garden.
