Welland Steam Rally - steam crane
Welland Steam Rally - steam crane
A 1950s steam crane by T Smith of Rodley near Leeds. It is used on its own length of standard gauge railway track to pick up large logs for delivery to the two saw benches (one circular and one reciprocating). This is an unusual addition to the rally scene and was my main reason for going to this particular event.
