Newhampton Arts Centre

The Arts Centre, part of the Wolverhampton City College, occupies a building that has served various educational purposes during its lifetime. Designed by the architect T.S. Fleming, it was a Higher Grade School from 1894 to 1921, then the Municipal Secondary School until 1945, followed by the Grammar School until 1974. Until recently, it's been hiding its magnificence behind the trees on the frontage, but these have just been trimmed, opening the view up significantly since SO9099 : Newhampton Road East, Wolverhampton
