HY2428 : Birsay: causeway to Brough of Birsay

near to Lower Palace, Orkney Islands, Great Britain

Birsay: causeway to Brough of Birsay
Birsay: causeway to Brough of Birsay
This concrete causeway provides access at low tide to the island, Brough of Birsay, which we see ahead. I had missed fairly narrowly the chance to cross, as it has to be done within two hours either side of the low tide time - it was on its way in as we look now.
