Cae Adda byre, St Fagans Museum of Welsh Life
Cae Adda byre was built in the late C18th and moved from Waunfawr in Gwynedd to be re-erected at St Fagans in 2003. It is still used to provide shelter to the Welsh Black cattle that graze in this paddock.
The fence in the foreground is formed of slate slabs set into the ground and held by wire at the top; it's a traditional style that can still be found in the slate mining areas of Gwynedd.
