Barrow Mill and Barrow on opposite sides of the River Coquet seen through the col north of Castle Hills. Barrow Burn divides the two large areas of coniferous forest. Lynchets, the result of deliberate terracing or of soil moving downhill after ploughing, can be seen in the bracken on the slope above the Hosedon Burn Link
