Geilston Yair
Geilston Yair
For the main description of the yair, see NS3377 : Geilston Yair. In that photograph, much of the structure was submerged, with only some of the section leading out from shore visible.

In the present photograph, much more of the L-shaped yair can be seen: on the right, more of the section leading out from shore is visible (see NS3377 : Geilston Yair for the view back from its far end); at the far end of that part, the yair makes a sharp turn to the left, and that section can be seen on the left.

The two sections are separated by a gap (on which, see NS3376 : Geilston Yair; that picture was taken from the end of the section on the right).
Geilston Yair
Located at the Murraghs, this is the second of six old yairs (fish-traps) whose remains can be seen on the shore between Ardoch and Craigendoran. The first is Ardoch Yair LinkExternal link and the third is Ballimenach Yair LinkExternal link
