Geilston Yair
This is a view in the opposite direction along the section of the yair that appears on the right in NS3376 : Geilston Yair. For the main description of the structure, see NS3377 : Geilston Yair.

The present picture suggests that the wall that makes up the yair was bounded by two lines of larger stones, thus forming a walkway of sorts. The building on the shore is NS3377 : Seabank Cottage.
Geilston Yair :: NS3376

Located at the Murraghs, this is the second of six old yairs (fish-traps) whose remains can be seen on the shore between Ardoch and Craigendoran. The first is Ardoch Yair – Link – and the third is Ballimenach Yair – Link
