NS3278 : Ballast mound

near to Ardmore, Argyll And Bute, Great Britain

Ballast mound
Ballast mound
The mound is the same one as is shown at the far end of a curving dark structure in NS3278 : Old landing place and ballast mound; see that item for further details. For a closer look at the top of the mound, see NS3278 : Ballast mound.

The white building in the background is NS3178 : Ardmore House.
Landing place and ballast mound
A dark structure, which is probably an old landing place, has, at its far end, a mound. The latter is apparently formed of ballast, dumped here by vessels before they loaded their cargo.
