St Clement's Church, Rodel (Tur Chliamainn, Roghadal)
Built around 1500 by the Macleods of Dunvegan as a burial place for their chieftains as the power of the Lord of the Isles waned and they were no longer buried on Iona. It was only used for a short while before the chiefs were interred at Dunvegan. In 1784 the church was rebuilt by Captain Alexander MacLeod but the church was damaged in a fire just three years later. In 1873 it was restored under the orders of the Countess of Dunmore. Now in the care of Historic Scotland.
