Old corn mill and weir at Bromfield under reconstruction
Old corn mill and weir at Bromfield under reconstruction
The old corn mill is now being renovated by the Earl of Plymouth Estates Ltd and the weir, until recently an overgrown ruin, has been reconstructed using masonry retrieved from the river bed. Two hydro electrical plants are going to be installed generating enough electricity to supply the equivalent of around 400 homes. This will be added to the National Grid.
