St Magnus the Martyr, Lower Thames Street
St Magnus the Martyr, Lower Thames Street
Hemmed in now by C20th office blocks, but still holding its own courtesy of its lofty tower. The church was begun in 1668 and finished by Christopher Wren c1671-84 (although alterations followed in the C18th, C19th and C20th). Grade I listed.
It is sandwiched between Magnus House (TQ3280 : Magnus House, Lower Thames Street) and Adelaide House (TQ3280 : Adelaide House, London Bridge Approach).
