View from All Saints Churchyard, Hinton Ampner to the house
All Saints Church is Saxon, although the Saxon work is not too obvious. This view looks past the porch to Hinton Ampner House which was rebuilt in 1937 but destroyed by fire in 1960. It was then re-created by Ralph Dutton, 8th and last Lord Sherborne. He also created the garden. The house and garden were given to the National Trust on his death in 1985.
