Coastal protection works at Borth
Coastal protection works at Borth
Large parts of the beach were inaccessible during the spring and summer of 2011 due to ongoing work to strengthen the coastal defences. Borth is largely built along a low shingle bank and is very vulnerable to coastal flooding. The existing sea defences constructed in the 1960s and 70s were reportedly within 10 years of failure.
