The Queen Elizabeth (No.2) Dock at 252.8m x 39.6m is the largest of the docks at Falmouth and was opened by the Duke of Edinburgh in May 1958. The RFA Largs Bay (L3006) is a Bay class landing ship dock that served with the Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA) from 2006 to 2011. Following the 2010 Strategic Defence and Security Review, she has been sold to the Royal Australian Navy for £65 million and is currently undergoing modifications to make her more suited for Australian operating conditions.
