TR0636 : Walnut Tree Inn, Aldington
near to Aldington, Kent, Great Britain

Walnut Tree Inn, Aldington
An archetypal village scene - a green, a fourteenth century inn and a good old fashioned red telephone box! The Walnut Tree has had locals ranging from the notorious Aldington smuggling gang to Jimi Hendrix, whilst the sign for Bonnington and Hamstreet points down the former B2069, now unclassified. The road passing the pub is the Roman road from Lympne to long disappeared Roman town at Westhawk (Kingsnorth).
