Are we nearly there yet?
This family group is out for a stroll in the woods of the Hughenden estate. The young boy seems to be complaining, probably along the lines of "are we nearly there yet".
This is a direct route back to the tea room along this public footpath and permitted bridleway. It is all part of the Hughenden estate and is known as the German Wood. Disraeli was impressed with the broad leaved woodland in the Black Forest in Germany and determined to have something similar on his own estate. They look like typical Chiltern beech woods to me.
