SO3217 : Southern end of the Skirrid summit ridge

taken 7 years ago, near to Llantilio Pertholey, Monmouthshire/Sir Fynwy, Great Britain

Southern end of the Skirrid summit ridge
Southern end of the Skirrid summit ridge
The route will soon plunge downhill towards Caer Wood. The path is broad and eroded due to its popularity. Many families and day trippers climb the Skirrid as it is a relatively easy climb for such grand views, and the terrain (at least in the dry) is not difficult. In this shot the views stretch over Monmouthshire, with the Bristol Channel on the horizon.
