TG1843 : West Runton shore
taken 7 years ago, near to West Runton, Norfolk, Great Britain
This is 1 of 2 images, with title West Runton shore in this square

West Runton shore
Near high tide and the wooden sea defences are dissipating a little of the energy of the surf whipped up by a strong onshore breeze. The cliffs are susceptible to erosion by slumping due to slope instability and removal of matter from the lower parts by wave action. The shore is mixed shingle and sand.
