Bournemouth: floodwater passes the cenotaph
Bournemouth: floodwater passes the cenotaph
Torrential rain this morning soon caused flooding in much of Bournemouth town centre - none more so, of course, than the Bourne Stream as it flows through the Central and Lower Gardens.

Here we approach the temporary end of the path towards the cenotaph from upstream, although it is only in the last half hour that it has been possible to walk this far as the waters have already started receding substantially.

The area would be more or less free from floodwdater by teatime, although it was still closed for clean-up operations to take place.
