Battle of Prestonpans Tapestry
Battle of Prestonpans Tapestry
On display in St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral. Completed in 2010, it consists of 104 panels, each a metre long, and is larger than the Bayeux tapestry. It commemorates and tells the story of the Battle of Prestonpans in 1745. This is only a small part of it, and it is displayed along both walls of the cathedral. One panel is shown in NT2473 : Battle of Prestonpans Tapestry - detail.
